Too much information in one person’s head.
Inside her head, deadlines converge, alarms sound and the same controller appears to be everywhere at once. It is a deliberately exaggerated picture of what it feels like when one person is trying to hold every job, deadline and customer promise together mentally.
The duplicated controller is intentional: the same overwhelmed person appears at different stations because she is mentally trying to manage every part of the workload at once.

[Telephone rings.]
In a warm office overlooking a busy joinery workshop, a female business owner sits at a desk beside a male colleague who is working at a laptop. She lifts the telephone receiver to her ear.
Owner: “Good afternoon.”
Caller, through the telephone: “Roughly when do you think you’ll get to us?”
The owner checks her open paper diary. Her confident expression gradually changes to alarm as she tries to calculate the workload. The camera moves into a tight close-up of her face as a dramatic sound builds.
The scene cuts to an imagined, busy air-traffic-control room representing the workload inside her head. Deadlines converge, alarms sound and the same controller appears to be everywhere at once. Faint electronic beeps and pings can be heard behind the dialogue. At the foreground station, the controller monitors multiple coloured routes and warning displays.
Controller: “The two-day job is entering week three!”
At another station behind him, the same controller appears again and turns towards his foreground counterpart.
The same controller, at another station: “We forgot Johnson!”
[The control-room beeps continue as the workload routes converge, then stop immediately when the scene cuts back to the office.]
The video cuts back to the owner in the office, still holding the telephone. She blinks, regains her professional composure and the camera pulls back. Her colleague briefly gives her a knowing sideways glance before returning to his laptop.
Owner: “Let me check that properly and come straight back to you.”
