Universal Credit Planner

App information

This page records the current position of a development and testing build. It will be reviewed against the exact app submitted for distribution before any public release.

Estimates for planning—not official decisions.

The Universal Credit Planner is an independent tool being developed by Organised & Co. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue & Customs or any local authority.

Calculations are estimates for guidance and scenario planning. They may not cover every circumstance, exception, deduction, transitional arrangement or later change in legislation. A result is not a benefit decision, award notice, tax calculation or substitute for checking an official source or obtaining appropriate professional advice.

The development build must not be relied upon for a financial commitment or deadline.

Calculations currently take place on the device.

In the current build, household, employment, pay, housing, children, health, caring, capital, benefit inputs and calculation results are stored and processed locally on the user’s Apple device. Organised & Co does not operate an app account or financial-data backend and does not receive those calculation details.

The current build does not contain an advertising, analytics, referral or crash-reporting service. If a later version introduces synchronisation, purchases or another external service, this information will be updated before that version is released.

Visiting this page is covered by the separate Organised & Co website privacy notice.

Local information can be removed in the app.

The current app includes controls for removing Quick Calculation data, Planner and history data, or all locally stored app data and reminders. Because Organised & Co does not currently receive the calculation information, it cannot view, correct, export or delete it on the user’s behalf.

No app account is created in the current build, so an account-deletion request is not presently applicable.

Rules are dated and their sources remain visible.

The app uses versioned supporting information for Universal Credit, PAYE, Local Housing Allowance, postcode lookup and self-employment calculations. Results are intended to identify the rule pack and effective dates used and warn where information is projected or a circumstance is not fully supported.

Government information used under licence is attributed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Use of official sources does not make the app an official government service.

Accessibility testing is still in progress.

The app uses native Apple controls and is being designed for readable, adaptable interfaces. A complete device-by-device accessibility audit has not yet been completed, so no formal accessibility-support claim is being made.

Use during testing.

The app is not yet publicly released. Any development or test copy is provided to evaluate functionality and identify problems. Features, calculations, wording and stored information may change before release.

Do not use a development estimate as the sole basis for a financial decision. Check information against your Universal Credit account, payslips and official guidance, and seek suitable independent advice where necessary.

Final consumer and purchase terms will be published after the release model is decided.

Please do not email household finances, health information, benefit statements, passwords or other sensitive calculation details. A description of the screen and what happened is normally enough to begin investigating a problem.
